Subject: Red Turban Snail (Pomaulax gibberosus)

Expedition: this photo was taken on our 2024 expedition to Haida Gwaii in British Columbia, Canada.

About Red Turban Snails: A marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinidae. The scientific name Turbinidae is based on the genus name Turbo which is Latin for spinning top, just like the child's toy. This species is found along the coasts of the Eastern Pacific, from British Columbia, Canada, to Baja California, Mexico. It inhabits the low intertidal zone to depths of around 80 metres (260 ft), where it is found on rocks and giant kelp.

Location: Echo Harbour, Haida Gwaii – on the unceded territory of the Haida Nation. British Columbia, Canada.

Paper type: Lustre. I chose Luster for it's balance between fantastic brightness, colour vibrancy, and reduced glare. With Lustre paper you can view the photograph from all angles, unlike high-glare glossy paper. Lustre is also fingerprint resistant making it easier to handle and frame at home. Thickness: 10 mil (0.25 mm) thick.

Waste reduction: This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order. Making products on demand, instead of in bulk, helps me reduce overproduction and waste. Thank you for helping me making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
